Jon and Andrew Stead Take On The Coast to Coast Challenge

23 Apr 2025

On 7th June 2025, Jon Stead, trustee of the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust and his brother Andrew will set off on an incredible challenge, the Wainwright’s Coast to Coast, covering 192 miles in just five days.

Starting in St Bees on the west coast and finishing at Robin Hood’s Bay on the east, the route spans the breadth of the country, crossing three of England’s most spectacular National Parks – the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. With over 26,000 feet of ascent along the way and average daily distances of nearly 40 miles, this is no small feat.

Jon and Andrew are taking on this endurance challenge to raise money for the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust, a cause very close to their hearts. As close friends of Jordan and his family, their support for the charity has been longstanding. But beyond personal ties, they are inspired by the meaningful impact the Foundation continues to have on the lives of young people across the country.

Over the last five years, JSFT has worked tirelessly to fulfil its mission: supporting vulnerable and underprivileged children and young adults by giving them access to healthy recreation. Whether it’s through funding grassroots sport, improving access to facilities, or supporting individuals directly, JSFT aims to give every young person the opportunity to unlock their potential and benefit from the life-changing power of sport.

This coast-to-coast journey is not only a physical and mental challenge for Jon and Andrew, it’s a chance to raise essential funds that will allow JSFT to continue its work. Every donation will go directly towards helping young people take part in sport, often for the first time.

We’ll be sharing updates in the run-up to the challenge and throughout the five days, so keep an eye on our social channels to follow their progress.

If you’d like to support Jon and Andrew in this epic effort, please consider making a donation. Every penny, no matter how small, makes a difference.
