“My name is Melanie Tait and I am the very proud mum of two wonderful children , Jordan and Tom.

I am married to Ian and we are doting grandparents to three beautiful granddaughters, Ava, Ella and Maisie Jordan.

They definitely keep us on our toes and we are truly blessed having these little beauties in our life .

I am a retired Detective Constable, having worked for West Yorkshire Police for 19 years and it was a job I took immense pride in.

I will bring the determination, drive, enthusiasm and compassion to make Jord’s charity succeed

I am so privileged to work along side my wonderful family and Jord’s closest friends whilst keeping his legacy alive.

My aim for the charity is to help as many underprivileged children receive financial support so they have access to either sport or play.

The smile and happiness of a child is so wonderful to see and to witness this first hand is the best feeling ever.

It’s like we give a little bit of Jord to who we help and i know Jord would be so proud.

Vice Chair

Hiya, I’m Kelly.

Jordan was my partner and simply the most incredible person you could ever wish to meet.

Like most couples, we had plans to grow old together but on 25th January 2020 everything changed. In the weeks following Jords death I found out I was pregnant and in Sept 2020 welcomed Maisie Jordan Sinnott into the world. She is our silver lining and keeps us all on our toes!

Although Jord is no longer here in person I feel so lucky to have spent a part of my life with him and will carry him in my heart forever. I am dedicated to helping as many people as we possibly can through Jords Charity and building him a legacy to be proud of. Jordan made all of our lives better and I hope we can do this for others through JSFT.

Chair of Finance

Hi, I’m Sonia Cookson.

I’m married to Anthony (Cookie), a proud mum to Lee & Laura and ‘Nannie’ to my gorgeous cheeky grandsons, Eldon and Edison.

Being Jordan’s auntie, I have had the greatest pleasure watching him grow to become the man he was. Funny, generous, good looking (not biased at all!) and above all, so loving.

I have worked in Childcare, Financial Sector for 28 years and now currently working part time for the NHS as well as Treasurer for the charity.

It’s a pleasure to work alongside family and Jord’s close friends and fully committed to ensure Jordan’s legacy is fulfilled.  I’m excited to watch the charity grow and see what is to come in the future.

I was one of Jordan’s best friends and have not gone a day since January 25th without thinking about him. Like others in the foundation, I am a serving Police officer in West Yorkshire Police. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, I absolutely love spending time with the gorgeous Maisie Sinnott and my nieces Isabelle and Sophia!

My role within the JSFT is trustee, assisting in giving ideas and making suggestions for further fundraising. I am also involved in looking after the charity Facebook page. I am keen to be involved in helping organise future sporting/fundraising events to raise money and awareness of the foundation.

It is an absolute honour to be part of the JSFT and I am looking forward to working with my friends and brothers, who are also trustees, to change the lives of others.

It is incredible what has already been achieved and I can’t wait to see more!

Laura Sinnott

My name is Laura Sinnott and I’m Jordan’s cousin. I tried to think about how Jord would have introduced me if he could, and I think it would’ve gone something like this:

She’s old (I’m not, but he thoroughly enjoyed reminding me of his youthfulness).

Her excellent taste in music came from me. (Debatable but I’ll let him have it).

She speaks weird (I’m from the midlands side of the family, but I can do a mean northern accent!).

She never answers her phone (very true).

I was her favourite cousin (Also true but ssshhhh!).

I have worked as a nurse for over a decade and counting.. I’m mum to a beautiful little boy Seb with my fiancé Andrew.

I am a Trustee for the JSFT and I could not be more proud to be a part of this.

To all of you who didn’t know Jord, he was the most hilarious, charismatic, charming and more importantly, kindest, selfless and beautiful soul I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, let alone be blessed to be related to. This charity is something he would be immensely proud of and will mean that his kindness can now be given forward to those who need it most, in the arena he loved most which was sport.

I feel unbelievably privileged to be able to be involved alongside my wonderful family and his utterly incredible friends, and would like you thank you all for your support for JSFT.

It is such an honour to be a trustee of the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust and to create a legacy for him that he would be so proud of.

Sport was a massive part of Jordan’s life and my role in the team is to help raise awareness and fundraising so that we as a charity can support some amazing causes and help young people gain access to sports.
